I was born in Montreal
Quebec (you’re going to have to guess when!). I was raised in an English speaking family but sent myself to French school in the 2nd grade, much to the worry of my parents. I will never regret this strange childhood intuition, as I have worked in both languages both on stage and on screen.
I presently happily call Austin, Texas my home. After launching my career in Montreal, then moving to Toronto
Ontario for a very rewarding 11 year career, I moved to New York City where my journey of self-producing began. A one woman show about Edith Piaf called Piaf: Love Conquers All has occupied my creative energy since 2005. For full details of this journey, please visit Tone Poet Productions.
I have been blessed since 1992 of being offered roles in comedy and drama, musicals and straight plays, corporate and alternative media. The contrast in the kind of work I have seen spans from having stood as a live Narrator for General Motors at the Car Show to playing a gender bending side-kick in a pantomime of Snow White. I have helped sell Aspirin, hamburgers, mortgages, credit cards, department stores, gasoline and more. I have helped train employees for the Lottery, the Liquor Board, Hardware stores and cinema chains.
My favorite roles have included swinging with the nuns, rockin’ with Daddy’s Girls, quick changing for my three husbands in Dads! The Muiscal and strumming for the Cowgirls to name a few. Of course, Edith Piaf still remains close to the surface and fills me with delight and gratitude every time I get to bring her alive for audiences around the world.
